Belmont Music in the Park celebrates more than just music; it celebrates the hands that feed and craft for our community. From the handcrafted treasures of local artisans to the beloved BBQ served up by our local firefighters, every flavor and find supports our non-profit mission.
The Heart of Our Community Mission
Bringing Our Community Together
Belmont Music in the Park began in 2023 when a small group of locals came together with one goal: to help our community reconnect after the isolation of the Covid years. With our beautiful park as the setting and an incredible talent ready to perform, we set out to revive a long loved August long weekend tradition. For generations, this weekend brought families together for music, games, picnics, and simple moments of joy. We wanted to bring that feeling back to life.
Our first event had one performer, Ian Reid, a travelling musician known for bringing his songs to small towns across Canada. About 90 people showed up, and the response was overwhelmingly positive. Each year since, we have grown. We have added more artists, more activities, food, games, and fun for families and kids. Today, our attendance is nearing 300 and continues to rise as we listen to community feedback and evolve with it.

Belmont Music in the Park is now a non-profit initiative dedicated to enriching our community through the shared experience of live music and family friendly fun. Our event has become a place where local and travelling talent can shine, neighbours can reconnect, and vendors can share their creations. Through partnerships like our collaboration with the local firefighters, we support community growth and strengthen the bonds that make small town life special.
Above all, we are committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels at home. Our event continues to grow, but the heart of it will always stay the same. It is about connection, celebration, and the simple joy of coming together.
